Scotland

The gist of it is this - I can see why travel bloggers are travel computer takers. I waited 15 minutes for this computer and it's 8am. I think there are 100 people in this Scottish hostel and only 30 of them can/do read the sign that says "15 minutes please". And today I'm leaving on a three day tour to the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye.

When I get back (to Edinburgh) I will find the public library with a public computer.

Did you know that Scottish men actually wear kilts to formal work events and weddings and such? I laughed. Then I felt bad for laughing.

I will not eat Haggis. I don't care how culturally insensitive that is, I don't eat heart or brain and I certainly don't eat it all stuffed into stomach. I don't even like sausage that much. And no matter what people say, it is not like a hot dog, at least not like a delicious Hebrew national 99% fat free dog.

There are hamburgers everywhere. There just isn't Mexican food here. I'm craving some rosarita refried beans

Speaking of food, it's hard to sort ones diet on the road. for a while I was eating nothing but bread + X, with X being cheese or peanut butter or nutella. That can't be good for me. I bought some eggs yesterday but I can only eat them when I have a stove.

I'm supposed to be about a mile away in 3 minutes. Time to learn how to run with a 35 pound backpack (yuck!)

Enjoying myself immensley (mostly!)

PS I am in a hostel shaped like a castle and it is located right under the actual castle!

The shape & location of your hostel made me laugh.

I would mail you some Rosaritas if you stayed in one place long enough. Will you?

Eat some vegetables.

Only a parent or a jerk (or both) would point out that Scotland is usually spelled with one t, not two. And isn't haggis that big guy in the Harry Potter books? I wouldn't eat him, either.

It's not culturally insensitive - haggis is hardly the staple food of Scotland.
